Overview

Join students and a facilitator from the TGR Learning Lab as they walk through the Digital Transmission lesson plan, providing essential strategies that will ensure effective implementation in the classroom. Explore the science behind photography as students manipulate shutter speed, capture light motion trails and transmit digital images. Students will describe how a smart device camera works by identifying the wave behavior and how basic physics principles were utilized in the design, creation and transmittance of their image. Working together, they will investigate how a digital image is sent, how photo filters work and learn about the relationship between pixels and properties of light. Students will conclude the lesson by discussing real-world problems smart device cameras solve, the needs they address and careers in this field.
